Oh, Louisiana...

SPOGG is enjoying the charms of Louisiana -- a world away from our grungy headquarters in Seattle.

We must say, though, that public works projects here seem less efficient than they might be. We passed several official-looking highway signs today that carried the following warning:
BRIDGE MAY BE ICE IN COLD WEATHER.
While it's delightful to think of elves on holiday from the North Pole using their tiny tools to sculpt entire bridges from ice, frozen water doesn't seem like a a lasting construction medium to us -- at least not anywhere this far south.

Oh, wait ... what's that you're telling me, that they meant BRIDGE MIGHT BE ICY IN COLD WEATHER?

Well, why didn't they say so?
